~~ "I'm writing you today because I believe in the work our local Boys & GIrls Club is doing. I believe in it so much, I'm on the board. I enjoy the chance to be on the board. I believe in it so much that I'm asking you for financial support. And that is something I truly do NOT enjoy doing! This organization is a community tool that gives our kids a structured environment where they can go, that is safe and supportive. Through the Club's programs our kids are encouraged to set goals and work to achieve them. They have the opportunity to learn about the importance of on-going education after high school and to maintain a strong value system. Through the programs in the Club, they learn to believe they are a valuable part of society. We have a quality group of staff that work hard to give these kids attention and direction. Having this type of organization in our little community is a privilege and a responsibility. We have real financial needs. When you partner with us and help meet these needs, you are helping us accomplish our mission. I know some of you have generously supported the Club in the past and I'm very appreciative of that! I now ask you to please continue your support of the Boys & GIrls Club of South Park by clicking on the hyperlink below and making a donation to our Annual Campaign. These children are truly our future. We appreciate any help you can give. Thank you so much!!" By Francie Roseen, Board Member http://givingfirst.org/Helpourkidssucceed

***CAT CASITA IN FAIRPLAY IS OFFICIALLY OPEN! We're very excited to announce the opening of our new cat adoption room in Fairplay! Eight adorable young female kitties are already in residence who are looking for forever homes. The Cat Casita is located about a block north of the traffic light at the intersection of Hwy. 9 and Hwy. 285. We're downstairs from Chow Down, Fairplay's healthy pet food/supply store. Call "719-836-4909" or directions. We really need volunteers to help with morning cleaning and feeding, which takes about an hour. As you know, cats like squeaky clean living quarters, and we want to keep it that way for them. We also need volunteers to just hang out with the cats, socialize with them, and give them lots of TLC. We've included two chairs so you can relax, read a book, and enjoy the warmth of a cat (or two) on your lap! If you can help, please call Renee Ryan on her cell at "720-979-9310" for more information. You may also sign up online at www.animalrescueoftherockies.org by clicking on the Volunteer Calendar for Cat Casita, found on the menu bar at the left side of the page.

We are a group of interested citizens in the community striving to work with schools and other agencies to provide needed resources to individuals in our community. Financial support comes from local churches, individual pledges, and private business donations and a variety of fundraising activities. All donations are tax deductible. Thanks to these donations, we are able to offer a variety of baby & toddler items at the center at no charge. Every Thurs. of the month we go into the middle and high school & provide informational material to students about their life choices. We are currently looking for volunteers & counselors.
